Another banger, nicely done.  8)

I love that bright red you use, do you have a recipe for it?

Thanks guys!

It's two colours - Kimera's The Red and Phthalo Green - on a white base cover everything in The Red and progressively add in more green for the shading, going back and edge highlighting in The Red if I went too far. I have tried mixing in some yellow for edge highlighting but it really knocks back the saturation of the red a bit much for my liking - see Brother Hamilton's bolter a couple of minis ago and compare that to the last two... it's just such a punchy red on it's own that I'm trying to leave it alone and just work on shading it rather than trying to take it further.

Speaking about band-aids...  :D

I always thought poor Meredith was too roughed up to be a functioning member of a squad. The fact I once got him together with a couple of dead marines lying on the ground did not help of course.

He's been in my stash for decades at this point, but by rights, he should be added to one force or another. He has apparently earned it!

Your rendition is awesome as usual, and you certainly emphasized the cartoony nature of his face  :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

But dude - He's a Space Marine! They can be cut in half and survive to fight another day. I was more worried about Brother Roberts chances of survival, back in the day!
Great painting as usual, @angrygriffin

But why him? I'm sure he'll be able to absorb a bit of boltpistol recoil with his eye lens  lol

Cheers guys!

I rather enjoyed painting this chap - I think he's a good example of a sculpt with a lot of character without needing a ton of sharp detail.

Your rendition is awesome as usual, and you certainly emphasized the cartoony nature of his face  :)

I had so many goes at the face! The eyes were mostly just a crease and it took me a few goes to get the size right to fit in with the cartoony expression.

I think I'm going to shelve the decision about which model to use as the sergeant for combat squad #4 and paint something different next - maybe an Imperial Army sculpt or a Harlequin... or maybe a Tyranid... I probably need to sit down with a colour wheel and pick a scheme for either of those last two, where if it's Army I think I'll go with something for an Ultramar Auxilia detachment.
