VSF on the cheap
« on: 11 September 2008, 12:25:19 AM »
so i decided to take a gander (my new favorite word) at VSF the other night. and rather than spending lots of money on new figures i decided to recycle some old ones.
so here is my first concept for a.....ummmmm. well you can name it  :P ;D

will write a list of the parts tomorrow (unless someone guesses them ;))
p.s (this is w.i.p)

Cool, what I would do when painting is go for an Iron man look with him to make it look like metal armour perhaps paint on rivets etc

That is a damn good idea you've had there. May have to steal it. Not sure about the tube going into the second mini's mouth or the style of the wings, otherwise great stuff. Look forward to seeing more. 8)

I'm not sure what it's all about, but I do like the War-Sax.

Maybe it's a sonic device...? The guy yells and the device spits forth a devastating ray of ultrasound?

I can see what you want to achieve and you've done a good job converting them, but to me they are still Star Wars figures  :(

No criticism intended for you, but they are just so iconic, I can't get Wookies and Princess Leia out of my mind.
That's another story, of course....  :-I

Full marks for creative thinking, though  :D

Good to see someone else with the VSF bug and good effort with the conversion. Going along the lines of other posts maybe you could go for a head swap and a sprinkling of rivets. Cant have too many rivets dontcha know.
Don't!

nice to see so much interest. well TBH they were very spur of the moment. the big tube was for god knows what reason. and the wings were VERY cheap (being just card) as for replacing the heads YES i might do one with his helmet under his arm (just depends on how buried i am in homework this weekend) but other wise. i do think yes (they are still SW figures) but i was just trying to save myself dishing out a few bob.
painted pics of trooper 2 soonish hopefully.
