Scenario: Get into the warehouse, get guns and provisions and get out again.

Special Rules: Night time, 6" visual except under designated streetlights where you could see anything LOS within 6" of streetlight. Moving faster than 8" on foot would alert the guards as sound travels very well during night time. The Land Rover wouldn't start up until shots were fired (or in the unlikely event of no shots fired, when Obie and Bojansky came back).

In turn 2 a PEF moved under a streetlight and generated 7 zombies!!!! And that was the end of stealth and creep!!! I ruled that the gangers would be far too busy fighting off the horde to notice us unless we were within 6" of them.

Aftermath: My ex was OD in the car crash and subsequently eaten by a zombie, Amca was OOF. Returning to a safe place I scored double on "Keeping it together" so neither Bojansky nor Manni will have to roll on the table next time. Amca made a full recovery.

Bojansky is now armed with Shotgun and Meat Cleaver (1H melee weapon), Manni is also armed with Shotgun and Hand Axe (1H melee weapon), Obie is armed with two BAP's and a Machete (1H melee weapon). Manni got her third XP so with tutoring from Bojansky and Obie she buys Shooting 3 with 1 XP left, Bojansky has two XP.

The most important thing in the hobby is that you're having FUN! Doesn't matter if you win or lose.

Great Batrep!
Thanks for posting it.
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time.
Nice to see y'all got some shotguns.
To bad about the 'Ex' though.
I look forward to the next one.

Thanks for reading mate. Before I started the campaign I decided that the survival of the group was more important than killing zeds,  hence a somewhat more cautious approach to scenario. I also decided there'd be 1d3 guns, rolling as if outfitting a Gangster.

That was very close. Finally, the first PEF was a good event for the team, as the gangers were busy.
They've lost one member, which may affect next scenario. It is good that they have a surviving objective, zed can be very dangerous in a second.

It went ok indeed. I had prior to starting scenario decided that the Gangers on guard duty would move randomly, 1-3 they stayed put in one place, 4-6 they moved 1d6" in a random direction on patrol (left or right). Furthermore, each time Obie and Bojansky moved 8" or less within 24" from the Gangers, roll a d6, on a roll of 6 they would be on alert and be much harder to sneak up upon (the chance of making a noise). Any move faster than 8" would automatically alert guards. And finally, to successfully sneak up on a guard and take it out silently (giving defender -2D on Melee roll) Obie and Bojansky needed to pass Morale +1 tests as they both have previous active service experience!

finally got time to sit and read.  Good write up of an exciting game!  The ex situation is now sorted I suppose  lol  They have guns now and are ready for....what?  thought of where they are heading next?  Looking forward to finding out.
