Battlegroup North Elvington Air Museum
« on: 09 May 2015, 10:55:32 PM »
Just went to this today and it was a lot of fun.

Lots of cars, trucks and stalls to look around
Several neat planes to view including Nimrod, Harrior
Artillery demonstration
Several participation wargames - Battle for Pegasus bridge looked outstanding (think that one was participation)
Vehicles to ride in:
T55 tank ... £25 a ride!!
APC ... £7 adult or £5 kids (check your change as they made mistakes with the charges andnnot just with me)
Self propelled gun ... think it was £10 and £7 from memory.

Best bring your own sandwiches mind ... expensive and very basic catering on offer!

(Just don't ask about how the coffee tasted  :o)

I have pictures but cant post right now as on my phone.

Me and my boys went to this as well and it wsa a very enjoyable day out. Lots of child friendly participation games, loads of vehicles and planes to look at. I took a picnic and thanks to the nice weather we could sit outside on the listening to the live music.
