I purchase A Good Dusting.   
 My units are 4 bases with 4 models each .
Question.
The bases are removed after 6 hits but until then throw dice for all models ( 4 dice for base ) .
Is this correct?

You throw 6 dice per base, but for example if you have 4 bases firing at short range but have received 4 casualties you would only roll 20 dice not 24
