RCW Cossacks and dilemmas

Having made a load of progress with my RCW project and gotten some Cossacks over the line despite some issues wiht hat colours (hence my dilemma) I thought a good long post was in order. I also have a number of pictures of Leonids new Cavalry which I think have come out fantastic. See what you think.

Whats the dilemma with the hat colours?

The Osprey table of Cossack uniforms gives the trouser stripe, shoulder boards, cap band and cap crown as Crimson for Siberia and Yellow for Far East. However its the crown piping thats scarlet or yellow the cap crown itself is blue for all Cossacks. I had already painted four units with the wrong colours and the dliemma was whether I re-painted them all. Not a dilemma really, I knew my OCD would force me to re-paint them all.

Crimson color is the Urals Cossacks. Siberian Cossacks have a scarlet color.

By the way - the Cossacks also had a difference in the color of the uniform (and, accordingly, in the color of the top of the cap).

The blue uniform had Don, Astrakhan and Ural Cossacks.
Green uniforms were of Amur, Trans-Baikal, Amur, Siberian and Orenburg Cossacks
