High-tech Criminals [PICS]
« on: 21 August 2009, 05:13:31 PM »

Bought these from Jase, got them in the mail yesterday and I couldn't wait to paint them. I chose for white coveralls because black would be dull and in white they match the colour scheme of my mobsters, the White Boys:

The black details and red masks help to add contrast and colour. I bought some more from v_lazy_dragon which I hope will arrive soon. Enjoy!

Let me hear the battle cry
Calling on the wind
Let me see the banners fly
Before the storm begins

Nice, I like the shinny effect on their masks  8)

None, the models were heavily inspired by the scene from Heat but I didn't know about it until after I painted them. I don't care though as I like my colour scheme more ;)

Your colour scheme is more striking - nice!

And well remembered Plynkes - the man is an encyclopedia.  I'd forgotten about the masks being used in that scene.

Then you're a very very silly boy aren't you!  ;)

Pil's bravely posted them on frother's too...mad fool! :D

Still to paint mine....but then again story of my live at present...unless its zombies of cause. Always have a habit of rising to the surface of the leadpile.

Mooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!

Very nice job, Pil. I have such trouble painting white clothing that I admire good results all the more.

Well, my recipe is this:

1. grey primer
2. basecoat with Citadel Foundation Astronomicon Grey
3. drybrush with VGC Ghost Grey
4. drybrush with VMC White
5. another drybrush with VMC White

If you get an even basecoat (which is easy with grey primer and foundation grey) getting a good white isn't too hard either.
