Sometimes we may want to have miniature prints of newspapers or adverts to dress up terrain pieces. Here is how i do it. Maybe there are far better ways out there. Please let me know.
First you have to know how large you want the images to print.
A common formats for a newspaper ist 400mm width x 570mm height.
Say you want to make a minature print for 28mm miniatures, this is approximately 1:60 scale. The print size would have to be therefore 6,7mm x 9,5 mm.
If you want to resize a real newspaper frontpage, there are many to find at
www.newseum.org.
I use GIMP, a free opensource software for image manipulation.
Opening the downloaded image in GIMP will show you something like this under "Image->resize"
Please note, that the newspaper above is not my favourite one
But it is bold and simple as usual and good for an example. For a better printing result, I would recommend to change the printing resolution from 72dpi to 300dpi. In the dialogue box for resizing you also have to specify the width and height, in this example ~ 6,9mm and 9,5mm.

Of cause, the printing result is not readable anymore in this small size. Maybe one should try to make a fake miniature newspaper from scratch.
If you want to cobime some resized images in one picture to save paper for printing, you can do this by generating a new image in GIMP and adding one layer for each resized image.
