The Rainbow Cult - a genestealer army
« on: 28 November 2015, 04:44:22 PM »
Here is what I have so far:

Plenty more in the pipeline, but I am a slow worker. The above took more than a year to do.

But a year not wasted. I like the tones you've got - and how they all look good together.

You're not alone in being a slow painter; but as long as you put out lovely models and enjoy the painting, then I don't think it matters!  lol

Lovely work and some great conversions. Nice use of Heresy hell-hounds too :)

Chaos doesn't really 'float my boat' but this little band was certainly worth the effort :)

A few more additions. Three new hybrids and also a new bit of scenery.

Sorry for poor quality photos. The only one that came out half decent is a rear view of the three new additions, so here it is:

Work in progress is a bunch of purestrains. I have gone for a much darker greyish blue base coat and then highlighted up. I am more satisfied with these - i think they look more sinister and organic than the ones i did last year.

fishstealer only has base coat at this stage. The others are nearly done.

Yes, they do look more sinister - great stuff.

Thanks folks.

Here is the running patriarch finished.

The fishstealer, fat patriarch and a bunch of purestrains are also finished but i had to pack them up in a big hurry for removals men. Phtos when they arrive hopefully safe and sound. Some hybrid disc riders almost finished but they got packed up too so the project probably on hold for a while.

These are great. I especially like the insect daemon prince thing.

Where's that from? And where are the dogs from?

Thanks everyone. Glad they met with approval.

ThrowsFireball, the daemon is an old Lord of change, converted using Reaper creature components set. The doggies are from Heresy miniatures.
