Aaah. Thank you chaps. I know ECW isn't quite a mainstream interest here on LAF, but it's nice to get your positive feedback  :)

ECW has always been one of my favourite periods. I have three great heroes from history King John, Richard III and Cromwell (with Sir Thomas Fairfax not far behind). Hopefully with the release of the Warlord Games figures and Blackpowder rules we might see the period take off.

Me too! Although I'd put Black Tom in front of Olly and I'd have Henry V instead of John ;)

My Dad took me to see all the classic war films from the 60's and early 70's when I was a nipper, including Cromwell, Zulu and Charge Of The Light Brigade. I've been obsessed by the ECW and Victorian periods ever since.

lol Thanks Helen.

My little gaming group has a series of dynasties that reappear in the Rennaissance, via the lawless marches, the English Civil Wars, the Spanish Main, the French & Indian Wars, the North-West Frontier, and even in the post-Apocalypse!

I don't really remember where the Fondlings, the Bloods, the Prettie-Georges, the Spoons and the Gibsons came from to start with... People just gave names to certain leader characters in the games on the tabletop, and several of these have ended up getting carried across different genres.

Sir Edgar Fondling started out as a pirate captain. Clearly Thomas and Marmaduke were his near forebearers!  ;)

I might write a book about it one day  ;)
That or go and have some therapy  lol

FIW ???  :o Are the figures painted at your usual "standard"   :-* ? And you never showed them ?  ;)

PLEASE....

Cause, as you said, if "ECW isn't quite a mainstream interest here on LAF" it's always a pleasur to see such lovely minis in so great photos composition !

Grand merci, mon Capitaine,

Le Matt - merci!

I've had a couple of shots of my F&IW collection in the lead painters league before, but I really do need to get the other 80 or so figures photographed... Maybe over Christmas...

Here's what I have on file - but I feel sure you've seen them here before...  ;)

Anyway, I'm pleased to give you an new occasion to show them.

And listen to Pete, You WILL win the next LPL if you paint FIW (and only FIW  :D).
