New Dungeon Bash Game
« on: 23 May 2016, 03:35:14 PM »
Hi all

Myself and a friend are in the process of producing a new game which started as a project for ourselves but has now got to the stage where we may put it into production. So what is it I hear you ask?

Well its a simple dungeon bash/crawling game for 1-7 players, everything you need will be included in the box set, rules, minis (6mm from Perfect 6), dungeon furniture, game boards and dice. The rules also include campaign rules so you can keep a track of your adventurer as they progress.

Before we go into production we are trying to gauge potential interest, as we don't want to produce too many initially at least.

So with that in mind, please let me know if this sort of thing would be of interest.

Here are a few pics of the test set we've had made:

My back has been getting worse recently, to the point where I don't really fancy leaning over a table for an hour or two playing a game.

It had occured to me to do something siimilar (using existing rules, not writing my own), as a 6mm dungeon crawl could be played while seated, with minimum stress on the old back. Other than having a quick glance at figures and trying to work out how to do dungeons, however, I hadn't gone anywhere with it.

If you do go ahead and produce it, I will quite likely pick up a copy.

Only slightly negative observation so far is that the figure bases seem way too large, but that's a very minor thing.

Much as I hate to use the "K" word, KickStarter may be the place for this. If nothing else, it would give you an idea of how much interest there is. If it doesn't fund, then just produce it for you and your friend.

Hi thanks for the response, we have considered Kickstarter but neither of us has any experience with it nor are we that keen to gain that experience at the moment  :D. If you want to PM me your e-mail address I will add it to the list of interested people and update you as and when its ready for release

If you get over to Scarborough during the summer you should pop into the club on Roscoe Street, meets Mondays & Thursdays, you might find some takers there - there are quite a few dungeon bashers at present.
Gary, Glynis, and Alasdair (there are three of us, but we are too mean to have more than one login)

funnily enough my annual east coast excursion is in two weeks, and Scarborough always appeals to the kids (and me - the amount of hobby shops for the size of the place is phenomenal!!)

Looks like a neat product.  I'm not huge on the bowtie connectors (never liked them with the larger stuff either) but it does appear this would work for 15-20mm as well.

they're there to help keep things together as long as you're careful(or don't involve kids :)) you can get away without using them, and yes it will work just as well with 15mm and even 20mm at a push

Recieved my copy today, had a quick look through the box and like what I see so far.
I'll do a full review on my blog once I paint the figures.

It arrived this morning and I absolutely love the look of it. Easy to hide from a suspicious spouse (although there were narrowed eyes due to the distinctive lasercut mdf smell) unlike my copy of Silver Tower.

It'll be amazing with 10mm:

And also good with 15mm:

There is a more wordy first impression on my blog if anyone is interested.

Out of curiosity, will there be stats for more creatures like undead? I imagine most other living races or types of hero/soldier can be created by applying the armour and weapon modifiers to the already existing stats.
