So I'm getting married in a few weeks, and she's as nerdy as me outside miniatures. Of course I had to make my own wedding cake toppers for the wedding which is themed around all our quirky interests and personalities.

Just finished the sculpting on these, they're huge at about 12 cm, but I haven't sculpted faces or hands in forever so I'm pretty happy. Now onto the painting.

No, she's in on the plan. I don't think there was ever discussion of any other solution.

Excellent work!  I want to see the painted versions!

Neotacha and I had dragons as toppers on our Wedding cake - a Ral Partha with bouquet and bridal veil added and a Citadel dragon with a top hat.  So ours were not scratch built, just slight modifications added.  We are still together 20-something years later, so clearly it is an auspicious beginning to a wedding to go nerdesque on the cake toppers!
