You have my greatest sympathies (although I understand that they probably don't help you!).

I have used Photobucket for years, even though I intensely dislike it, and the "service" provided by most image-sharing sites is now really awful generally. Photobucket is nearly unusable from the sheer number of full-page popups and highly-intrusive ads on the site.
I get they need adverts on the site so that the services cab be free, but when that gets to the point that you need an ad-blocker just to be able to upload your images... well, something has gone horribly wrong (and that's not counting the crappification of the images you upload).
I also don't feel I can trust companies that treat users/visitors to their site so poorly, so even if I got a vastly better service for mere pennies a month, I would still not give them any payment details for security reasons.

Anyway, I hope you find something that suits you soon - I really enjoy seeing your work (your Legion of Everblight and Necromunda pix all got saved to my HDD years ago!), and it's a shame that you've hit this block recently.

The google photo links seem to work even though they don't end in jpg (or any other image extension). I did help someone out who was having trouble getting them to work, and noticed he had an extra data pair to the URL, which when removed worked fine.

But I agree posting to forums seems to be regarded as an annoyance by these sites - I suspect because it really doesn't suit their business model. Initially they would through in loads of features to get users. Once they have a user base they will remove features that don't bring the right revenue (or are seen as a cost)

I envy the efficiency and thought that went into your old workflow.  8)

Since forever I have gotten decent service from Imageshack. It costs very little and has features I have yet to plumb.

Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing
