Hello all.  Well last night I finished off the rest of my frostgrave plastic soldiers.  It was not a chore at all- unlike other painting 'quests' I've had in recent years.

My 20 models are pale comparisons to Kevin Dalimores, :-I but will do fine for my frozen tabletop Frostgrave battles at home.  Hope to get some battles in before my son leaves back for college.

Overall, just awesome plastics that were easy to assemble and paint- and modify.  And as an extra added bonus I have lots of extra sacks, weapons and heads for other projects now.  I encourage everyone to get a box of the plastics, you will not be disappointed.

Great work on all your Spellcaster and Soldier mini's, and the skeletons also look very good!

Well done!  Those appear to be the Wargames Factory skeletons.    :)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you're right..and I only just realised they are weaponless and shieldless...and cool new take on them!

Looks good to  me too.
Just getting twenty minis painted up looks good ... you got that bit right first ... you keep painting at this rate the quality will come.
I spent years never paining very mch because I was not happy with the results. it got to a point where I just said sod it I am going to get some of this painted and started painting regularly .... guess what ... very soon I was paining to a standard i could live with.

Hi thanks for the nice comments.  Yes they are war games factory skeletons.  I made one group weaponless and are the unarmored skeletons.  I made one group of Skeletons with weapons as the 'armored' ones.  Picture below.  I also got in my second game and it was a blast.  I also watched another one.  We started playing with amended game length and a 2 point advance for a winner and 1 point advance for a looser.

And here is a start to the latest plastics.  I wanted to create some bad guys using some plastics from other kits, and so that's what I did!  I also wanted to modify some of the metals to give them a little different look.  We will see how it works out

Nice work. I'd put them on my table anytime. I read a quote today, maybe on this board, "the only bad paint jobs are no paint jobs" I really believe that.

What is it with Frostgrave players and insecurity? So far, I have seen more threads where the painters say that their work doesn't look good than with ones that like what they did.

I love what you have done so far man, your work looks excellent! Your painting is great, your conversion work is wonderful, I look forward to seeing how you paint up those weird cultist armourerd skeleton hybrids. They look awesome!!

Don't sell yourself short man!

Maybe they're comparing their paint jobs to those gorgeous, official ones? Regardless I've enjoyed seeing everyone's Frostgravings.

I do like that.

Love the kit bashing and customising ... Great when folks personalise their minis or come up with something unique from kit bashing. Look forward to seeing these guys painted.
