Drabant Miniatures Compatibility with Other Manufacturers
« on: 10 April 2017, 09:48:30 PM »
Just wondered how Drabant Miniatures compare size wise with other manufacturers such as Crusader or Foundry?

I do not have any crusader or foundry medieval to compare them to, but I do have some gripping beast, fire forge, black tree and conquest games figures, and I have found drabant to be too large to me to fit in, the style also seems different to many others.  They are very very nice figures on their own, but not quite compatible to me.  I do think of myself as quite picky when it comes to scale and figure size comparability though, so others may not find it as bad as I do.  I wish they sold the cavalry horses in larger packs by themselves though, as I fond the horses to fit with other horse ranges.  The figures though, as I said earlier, are quite nice, and I have far fetched ideas of making skirmish armies solely of drabant figures.  Hope this helps a bit.

Thanks for the reply. The Foundry I have are larger GB so Drabant might be okay with them.

They're a perfect fit with Footsore and with Fireforge / Frostgrave sized plastics. I have all of those together in the paint queue right now and primed and mounted on washer bases, they all look much of a muchness size-wise.
The Drabant figures are just rather more exquisite than the rest  8)
Nord has an entry in the current round of the LPL using some of these figures, which shows them to advantage :)
