I am a simple, aged soul and like to throw dice and push figures about so the rules suit me fine. 
As with most 'simple' sets they are deceptively complex when you get going. As Phil said, 12 units a side, two hours ~inc Tiffin ~ 10 moves, just what is needed in a hobby that often takes itself far too seriously.
