Interesting, unfotunately my mass battle miniatures painting queue is occupied by some greeks for hail caesar, but some day I will get the goblins, they look great.

I wonder if the rules will be flexible regarding choice of models (like frostgrave) and will there be a possibility to add units of different races than dwarves, goblins and elves. Frostgrave gnolls and barbarians comes to my mind.
I look forward for more info, like how exactly mass battle would look like with round bases and how many models per side would be required.

Oh my goodness!

Those are seriously the best Dwarf plastics I have ever seen! I have always been a Dwarf fan, but never liked any miniatures for them (bar maybe a smattering of odd releases here and there). So even if I won't play the game, I would still love me a set of these to use in other miniature games (like Labyrinth Lord).

I have also always really disliked those too comical Goblin miniatures that seem to be so popular. I mean, I guess they have their charm for many players, but I always felt they were out of place. The only Goblins I have really liked were the LotR ones.

Judging from the artwork, these are going to be amazing!! The artwork has that old school and low fantasy charm that I love, it reminds me a bit of Lone Wolf art and very early GW artwork, but without any of that silliness that I so dislike.

And since Northstar Miniatures, like the artwork, almost always have that old school aesthetic and low fantasy feel that I so yearn for (without the gonzo part), I am almost certain that these Goblins are going to be just the way I like them!

I guess I can always repaint my LotR goblins as Kobolds or something.

Exciting times ahead! And I still need to stock up on loads of the Frostgrave range too! I will be very happy for a very long time to come! :)

A box of 30 is all you need. You can combine armies like dwarf/goblin or elf/human etc.

I think it is probably okay to have one thread on it, because of my relationship to both games, but any further discussion should probably happen in the main Fantasy forum.

Anyway, Osprey made me an offer I couldn't refuse - and really - just look at those minis!
