Human bombs
« on: July 21, 2009, 10:56:15 PM »
I have 2 Chinese human bomb models and came up with these rules to represent them. I'd welcome any comments.

Human bomb
Basic - 5 pts
Raw - -1 pts
Bomb - 25 pts
Total - 29 pts

Rules - Units formed from 1 model. Follows normal infantry rules up until you decide to detonate the bomb. To detonate the model must have a charge order. After the move is completed place the artillery template, 4"/100mm, over the human bomb model, with the human bomb model in the middle. Any models who's base is touched by the template must roll for damage.
He that trades Liberty for Security will soon find that he has neither.

Nasty thing those human bombs.
A very good idea.
Is the bomb model a unit on its own or does it join a unit ?
Thanks

I did think about forming units of 1-5 human bombs, maybe with some sort of engineer/technician leader. I'm going to use them as individuals though, as I only have 2 models.

They DEFINITELY do not join other units though, and would likely get shot if they tried. lol

Is the points ok do you think?

Yep. I think so. Check it in a game  and see how devastating this human bomb is.
I think this rule is a very good scenario feature and I will use it. Thanks
