Better Bricks
« on: May 28, 2009, 02:24:28 AM »
I have the Fiskars rectangluar hole punch and have tried card stock and thin solid cardboard with varying degrees of happy outcome look, but thats all behind me since finding Foamies 2mm spongy foam sheets.

This new material will save me sooo much time with it coming in color that is through out the foam sheet and effort at getting rubble piles looking right with out the Endless paintbrush reaching in to hit the white edges I missed the 27 times I rotated the piece….

After punching a lot of foam bricks I discovered the "catcher" on the Fiskars punch can be easily removed. This helps in that the foam gets a bit of static charge when "punched" and is not inclined to dropping out of the chaff catcher, but piles up and starts to interfere with additional punching. I just place a large cookie pan on my lap while punching now and have no further problems with the process!
