Hi all, I'm starting a collection of Eureka's 18mm Runestaff models.

I typically paint models however I like, not worrying about established settings. However, just in case it inspires me to read the Runestaff books and I'm hooked on the setting, are there set uniforms and colours for the different Granbretan orders or Kamarg soldiers?

Hi Dubbya, I'm the sculptor of the figures, so have re-read the books, and graphic novels (those are in b&w).

I might be misremembering though, so hopefully an expert chimes in. It's pretty vague in the books overall!

The Pig Order have Red armour, Mantis Order have Jade armour, Bull Order have Purple armour, Wolf Order have Black armour.
The goodguys / Kamarg are mentioned with light blue cloth or flags at least once. And the Leader Count Brass, has brass armour.

This could look incredibly OLDHAMMER if done as full colour, so I personally might make all the Granbretan armor black, with just coloured clothing / accessories.
The Kamarg could be in various brass/gold/silver tones, with light blue, light green, white cloth? Would give a nice contrast I think.

Interesting, thanks. Yes I'd love others to chime in, too if your memory is off!

I'm thinking of a brown/sepia wash heavy look, with the individual colours either just for the helmets or as you suggest, clothing and details.

Light blue was already what I wanted for the Kamarg so that's great!

WIP, I'm going for a washed-out brown look for the whole project. Party because I want to actually finish an army, partly because my usual black undercoat, heavy drybrush schemes would hide the lovely sculpts.

When thinking about this earlier in the year the scheme I considered was rust red and murky yellow (pretty sure I got that from one of the early stories) using this picture for inspiration.

The time of the Orc has come.

Peleset that would look good!

(I've seen yellow and rust used for undead so many times, I wonder how many inspired by that illustration!)
