With Musket Pike and Drum
« on: 12 April 2023, 07:50:57 PM »
Has anyone played, or have details about the mechanics of, this game? I can't find hardly anything about it online! I'm looking for a fast playing man to man 17th century skirmish system.

No, but the author has written a few "back of beyond" rules for Caliver. Some interesting mechanisms but IMHO not properly play-tested.

Can't help with the rules in question, but for a " fast playing man to man 17th century skirmish system" maybe try checking out Donnybrook?

I've had a look around but they appear to be sold out everywhere!

The original Donnybrook is out of print (although a pdf copy is available) but they recently released Donnybrook Essentials which has all the rules and armylist building notes (albeit not the force guidance of the original), plus a new scenario

Thank you! I just got a PDF of the Donnybrook Essentials and it looks like just what I was after.
