Does anyone do translations of Vae Victis magazines?
« on: July 14, 2020, 08:22:56 PM »
I bought an issue of Vae Victis #140 for the game. An English translation of the rules is available. But now I'd like to read the articles. And I don't know French.

Is there a translation available? (I would pay for it.)

Thanks

Chuck

Is the article long? Are you in a rush to get the translation?

I don’t know of "readyly available" English translation of Vae Victis articles… That being said, I’m a French speaking LAFer (from Canada). I know there is a few French wargamers on this Forum (mainly from France but maybe, a few from Belgium).

A CANADIAN local hobby store with a small selection of historical wargames miniatures (mainly from Warlords). They also have a great selection of paint and hobby accessories from Vallejo, Army painter, AK Interactive, Green Stuff World and more.; https://tistaminis.com/

The issue has a LRDG game, so I would want the related LRDG article translated.

No rush for the translation.

This is the first issue of VV I have seen and I am very impressed. I wish the entire issue was translated!

Thanks

Chuck

I used to lend them to a friendly local secondary school teacher as source material for older students to tackle.
Not so applicable in lockdown, or in the summer holiday, but can you find anyone locally who does French lessons?

(not in a 1950s euphemism sort of way)
