there is some true hobby tragedy in these posts.
For the most part I have been very lucky - sure a few micro scars on the fingers from poor craft knife use. The spray disasters I have very happily avoided. My old desk in teenage years ended up riddled with notches and cuts as I failed to realise what cutting mats were for.

But I think the most painful experience was dropping a full carry case into a platoon of Imperial Guard. That genuinely hurt my heart - seeing wee plastic men explode is an unusual experience.

A while ago I managed to spill a tray of freshly painted, about to be matt varnished, metal moderns across the patio after the wind caught it... heads and arms went flying along with a few chips. All were eventually repaired with a few grimaces.

And then about 2 months later I found a chap that I had missed in a crack, paintjob basically untouched by the elements! The worst thing? I hadn't even noticed I was one figure down... :-/ oops!
