Perry French in greatcoats as Chasseurs à Pied?

For some strange reason I seem to end up with lots of spare plastic grenadiers in greatcoats. At first glance it seems like they could be converted to Chasseurs à Pied de la Garde by giving them dragoon grenadier heads in bearskins. Am I missing something or would that be viable in combination with a metal command group?
