Elastolin and Expeditionary Force compatibility?

All,
      I am building up a nice collection of 40mm Elastolin dark ages figures.  However, I’d like to add a little variety to them.  Expeditionary Force has a small range of pre-painted 40mm figures of Vikings and Saxons, that while not to the quality of the Elastolins, look good enough.  The problem though is this.  Elastolins are in reality 40mm from sole of foot to top of head/helmet, and realistically proportioned.  The Expeditioary Force figures look to be about the same height, but different in build. Has anyone had any experience in using both?
