Firelock Games Plastic Pirates?
« on: 04 July 2022, 01:00:50 PM »

Did these ever get done? I missed the Kickstarter and was hoping they would be released for retail sales....I do not see anything on their page and the Kickstarter says they were to be released last October.....

I backed it… still waiting. The usual delays. Hopefully we get them before this October.

They send out updates every month or so, and do seem to be making good progress.

Try the above link.  Not sure if it will work if you didn't support the project, but that link hopefully will take you to an update with a picture of the sprue. Sprew? Um, figures.

I am heavily into the world of 28mm pirates and ships from many of the existing figures manufacturers and of course, Blood and Plunder.  I have participated in their Kickstarters (more than one) and am currently waiting for the most recent on featuring plastic pirates.

I have purchased many metal and a few of the available plastic pirate figures from the Blood and Plunder website.  These plastic figures have good detail and paint well.  They are very light in weight.  i have also purchased quite a few other brand plastic figures on Etsy (Highland Figures - pikemen, arquebusiers, swordsmen and cavalry) and Spanish figures (same types) from Unidad Piqueros - Grupo de Mando through EboraMiniatures and AkraMiniatures.

There are really great pirate period buildings available through Etsy, the Buccaneers Bay series and The Lost Islands series at the DungeonArtifacts, and also the DND Terrain, Tortuga house line of 9 buildings through Etsy from 3DEgos, RFPRINTS, Talisman3D.  The Tortuga buildings line includes 8 buildings and a rather large church in the Caribbean style.  Once these buildings are all painted with the many ships to finish, I will use them along with the Crescent Root Studio Villa buildings to perhaps conduct a raid of Panama scenario on a very big table.  It is nice to have goals.

And thinks for the building references via Etsy.
