voltan, thanks for those links, they put me on the right track. I came up with a really nice chipped-paint effect using the method described by Admiral Benbow. Some detailing still needs to be done, but I've still got a few hours, right?

As for the price, I'll announce it after the contest is over, or via PM, if you are really in a hurry to get one
