That’s exactly what I was asking about, the lore or history of the character.  You are right, those eyes are deceiving then.

As WM had pointed out. .. one is indeed doomed
and as an addition to the lore..

When still small these demons are deceivingly quite fast but the more they leech the bigger & slower they become. They loose their innocent look and become veritable monsters.
