I would go to poundland or wait til the Halloween sales are on and grab a bunch of kids animal packs. Easy enough to slap some stripes on an elephant or give a bug a dry brush to make it look exotic. It's the time of year for cheap weird tat and that makes the best scatter terrain.

You would need to check sizes but something like https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Mott/Legends is just a hippo or a rhino painted funny. So cheap pvc animal packs and a few head swaps and you're in the Sci fi fauna ball park for almost nothing.

Yeah good call Robo I think a mix of bought and converted might be a good way to populate a table. I'm really after a few err creatures that will give it that SW feel cheers!

Sorry for the delay. Here's the two Swamp Creatures I was able to find. Warlord 28mm British for scale.

Star Wars Action fleet Dewback.  Slightly smaller than it appears as I accidentally put the earlier figure a bit behind. Still a good size I think.

Cheers Eilif for those pics they do look promising. Those swamp creatures especially would make good mounts and are instant SW dressing for a table.  Ok I will have a look on ebay to see what's around :)

So pretty keen on those swamp creatures, the ash flea things and the space chickens.  Chickens are just generally great I have 5 at home they are surprisingly interesting (and heartless) creatures.

The 'legion compatible' space chickens are either 12mm or 20mm high I think.......that's a pretty damn big chicken .....I would have preferred them a bit smaller, not blocking doorways or corridors with their massive bulk ha ha.

Anyway thanks for all the suggestions it's been fun finding out what's out there
