Flora and Fauna of Venus

I think being picky about what Venus is really like is somewhat missing the point. Venus doesn't actually have jungle or dinosaurs either, chaps. 

The point is what the Victorians might have imagined it to be like.

On Venus as I imagined it when we used to play Space 1889, what colour the sky was never came up, as my Venus was mist-enshrouded the entire time. It was a totally fog-bound jungle planet.

  NOOOOOOO, no, no, no, no, no, no......!!!!! Fairies aren't real? What?! What are you saying, fairies aren't real?
  Just yesterday, while hanging out in the humid Great Northern Jungle of Venus, a whole slew of fairies and I were discussing politics while drinking Absinthe. And Jim Morrison was there.... Jimi Hendrix, too.... Anna Nicole Smith, and JFK, as well. All of us, just hanging with the fairies. Not a cloud in the sky. Seriously, someone really thinks Venus is gas-shrouded? How beastly uncomfortable would that be?
