Some excellent painting,on some great figures.
Would the Royalist/government pikemen be wearing back and breast plates, and helmets?
And would only the Guards pike wear waist sashes?
Thanks,
Andy

As a former Sedgemoor rebellion (Somerset Militia) reenactor...
"Would the Royalist/government pikemen be wearing back and breast plates, and helmets?
And would only the Guards pike wear waist sashes
?"
Certainly the militia pikemen were unarmored, and wore waist sashes. My understanding is that this is true for all the 'regular' troops too

v_lazy_dragon, thanks for the email nfo.
In Helion's "One King", the uniform info gives the foot guards pikemen *polished back and breast plates£, * white sashes", but is this just for parade or ceremonial wear?
Also,in Fighting for Liberty ", there is a picture of a pike man from the Queen Dowager's Regiment, (Kirke's), who has removed his armour and doesn't wear a sash.
None of the pikemen are described as wearing helmets.

The sashes were worn for all wear, and was part of distinguishing the pikemen from the shot(te).

Beautiful brushwork! Very inspirational! I have a partially completed project in 10mm and most likely going to do it in 6mm as well. The armies are small enough that it's feasible. The Monmouth uprising has been a wargaming interest of mine for decades (many projects started and stalled) and I hope to ultimately game it on the tabletop.

I look forward to seeing the progress of your project!
