Tas, good call on the basing colours. I went for this for my Caesarian Romans, 3rd century AD Romans and Seleucids amongst other armies. I find that it can fit with Northern Europe, through the Med even into parts of the Middle East. A good compromise for an army that fought in many theatres.

That was my thought also - plus now I have a consistent basing mixture for my Hoplite Greeks too!
