Towards the end of last year, I painted some figures as gifts for my brother in law and my nephew. Both got into miniatures games recently, and have been having fun together with Age of Sigmar.

My BIL collects Sylvaneth, so first up is an Arch Revenent character model, which is a lovely figure but incredibly busy to paint!

And since he'd bought the latest big starter box earlier that summer to split with my nephew, I thought I should also do some Skaven heroes for him - a Warlord (now called a "Clawlord") and a Warlock Engineer. These were originally released in the starter box for WHFB 8th, but I think they are still great models. I gave the Engineer a more scenic base, and then mounted them both on suitable round bases so they could be used in AoS:

Finally, I also painted up a model for my nephew, who collects Stormcast. I picked an, erm, (*checks notes*) Stormcast Eternals Knight Arcanum to paint up for him. The eyes have a magical blue glow, and the hair has subtle highlights, but my phone messed these up in the pic!  o_o Oh well, here she is anyway:

I appreciate that most modern GW models (especially Age of Sigmar ones) don't seem to get too much love here on LAF, but loose character like these are fun to paint as one-offs. In any case, I hope that you all enjoy the pics anyway. :)

The models themselves or the AoS rules may be a matter of some indifference but the painting, the techniques and the artistry involved in creating a fully painted model can, and should, be appreciated.
I do like the way you've painted these - the vibrant colours and tones really make them pop. Excellent work there, sir!

I think its just because there are way more online communities for GW so people simply post it less here, I can assure you there are plenty of us who appreciate the models and especially when the paint jobs are as good as those!

Thanks for sharing.
