I'm glad!  I owed you for all those scale comparison pics you've been putting on the fantasy forum recently.

Also, I want to stress how hilarious I find it that this is a licensed game, but...well..

When it was announced, I looked the series up on Amazon and read the cover blurbs to get the gist of what it was about.  And immediately realized I had no interest in reading the books.  Now that I have the licensed wargame for the novels...Sorenson wrote it up such that I don't know any more about the books.  He (wisely, I think) just incorporated the basic idea-and-twist without letting the books' narrative have any undue (ie, minimal, if any) influence on YOUR campaign.

I can't believe we're still discussing the books at all! 
There are far better books using this twist out there (it seems to be a fan favourite amongst US troops - Marines or Mechanised against Sauron or some nameless horde) try Myke Cole's Shadow Ops series (I don't get paid by his publisher, they're really quite good).
As to the rules themselves, I think I'll pass; I think the source material is crap.
