Ether Navies in an age that never was
« on: August 06, 2025, 06:34:05 AM »
I decided recently to finally scratch a hobby itch I've had for years - Aeronef. Options are pretty good these days, but Brigade Models have the largest range. After hemming and hawing for a while, I bought two fleet packs - French Fleet Pack 2 and the Peruvian pack. I also decided that rather than do just flying battleships, I'd do Ether Navies instead, and so off I went. I got the Peruvian fleet assembled tonight. They're going to be the Free Martian Ether Navy with a fun paint scheme of dark red and something else, not sure yet.

Overall, there models are lovely. They go together well with minimal sanding. The metal parts are well cast with minimal flash. The resin hulls have no bubbles and the one battleship is slightly dished on the underside, but nothing that will be visible. The only thing that didn't really work nicely was the tail - it was a beast to get straight and one needed a decent amount of sanding. I'm also not loving the gaps at the back, I may putty those over.

It would've been nice to have assembly instructions, as I had to refer to the pictures on the website to figure out how stuff went together.

Would I buy again? 100%. Already planning another order...
