The Congolese soldier

The Brussels army museum has currently a exhibition on this topic
(Congo 1885 - 1960)
some good pieces (Nordenfeld gun, original uniforms (Belgian force publique officers with a sort of Hussar Dolman !!) the first German askari uniform I've ever seen, German flags)

worth a visit if in Brussels

Sounds like at least one of you have to have a day out with your camera  ;)

seems like it...  Problem is that - prior to 1st March 2010 - I had to make a weekly visit (profesionally) near the museum, so I popped in from time to time.  Now it means driving down there on purpose, which is a lot more demanding, giving workload, but i'll see what I can do...

Sorry guys, Hopefully Mr Geudens is so kind enough to visit the exposition and share the pictures  :). I'm still practising my drivers license  :?
