Gaming day on March 6th 2011 over view
Our gaming days are usually based around the Late War in Italy, however for players wanting to bring Early War armies to refight some of the action in Belgium during 1914, please let me know as we should be able to do both this time around and I can structure the event to suit. Depending on the number of players and armies, you might even be able to bring more than one army and use, especially if you are happy for someone else to use one of the armies while you use the other.
We will be using the Great War rules (with our own twist as usual for most of the games), but if folk want to give Through the Mud and the Blood a tryout, they are more than welcome, and if typing has gone to plan, there may even be a rough draft/playsheet of our own rule set
Players will be grouped together as the Entente and Central Powers and will fight through a range of scenarios to cover both attack, defence and open battle. As with previous events this will involve a small amount of preplanning with others on your side to coordinate attacks as objectives for each side are kept from the opposition until the day is complete. Theres no fixed army size, you just need to bring what you can, ideally one battalion if using the Great War rules, others by arrangement, there are a couple of loan armies or reinforcements available for those still painting up their first force.
Tickets available now and the price includes lunch, tea/coffee and morning doughnut, the event is held at the Bingham WI Hall Station Road Bingham Nottinghamshire. Details on our forum under "Gaming Days"- see you there!
