Faber's Panzer IV WIP (heavypic)

Hi guys!    After a long lurking period, I feel ready to start a new topic. Here is my first german tank, a venerable panzer IV ausf. F2 from Company B. I decided to paint it grey because I'm making it for a urban skirmish and because I'd like to give a pulpish effect to my german army (and grey tanks are really nazish). (Anyway, here's the thread about the colour scheme http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=24037.0).
So, here it is:



A lovely model, even if it has a lot of little imperfections (especially the tracks and the lower part of the main body).
For first (after the clean&wash phase) I've drilled the turret and the related body part to put there a magnet. Now the turret can rotate. (I know, useless but i love it  )



For painting I must say thanks to Neil Burt of Troop of Shewe (http://troopofshewe.blogspot.com/) who kindly answered my mail suggesting me his tank painting process.
So, at this moment:
1 - Black Basecoat with GW Primer
2 - Heavy drybrush wit a mix (3:1) of Vallejo German Grey and Vallejo Medium Sea Grey

Next step must wait the late afternoon after my study session

Who's the manufacturer of this model? At first I figured it was West Wind or Bolt Action but tanks from those places tend to have a small hole for the turret to fit in and be able to rotate (rotating the turret is quite handy in a few games when the tank gets immobilized).

It's Company B. This one, without the magnet could not rotate.

Incidentally, if you do get a model with imperfections, holes, etc.  please let us know, and we'll send a new one.  I'm pretty sure that the master Crouchie sent us had a small tab for the turret. I'll need to check though.

All of our kits are sent to us pre-bagged from the casting guys, so it's possible one with imperfections slips by.  Just give one of us a shout and we'll see what we can do (either new parts, or a new kit)

Looks good though.  Now that you have that turret set up like that, your all set for our Whirbelwind MKIV turret/conversion!

hello again.
@companyB: I think that a resin and white metal kit rarely gets the perfection. The imperfections of this model were in the average in my opinion. The main one was the resin body right part in the connection with the right track. Honestly, I think it's ok but if you want to send me an other model I will be really happy anyway! 

So, next step: 3 - higlight the center of the panel with a 2:1 of Vallejo German Grey and Vallejo Medium Sea Grey
 



and 4 - black wash on the whole model
