Kev Dallimores painting guide for VSF Prussians
« on: 20 March 2013, 07:15:31 PM »
Hello everyone

I've just uploaded the new painting guide by Kev Dallimore to the North Star magazine.

This guide takes you through the process of painting the new Prussian figures for the game 'In Her Majesty's Name'.

Hope you like it.

Hopefully he'll do a painting guide for the chinese faction as well (that's the one I have my eyes on), again using the Army Painter paints.

He's done all of them, he just needs time to write them up.

I find Kev's incredible painting ability very intimidating. How shall mine even begin to compare?  :(

Nonetheless a jolly good read!

Gorgeous.
Kevin remains the master par excellence. Apart from Andrew Taylor, I don't think anyone else comes near him when it comes to painting wargames figures.

That said - wonderful new eye candy apart - every article essentially describes exactly the same process and technique.
I guess each new piece tells you which colours to use for specific figures - but I do wonder what value there is in describing the same technique in detail, over and over again, especially when most people who aspire to paint using 'the three colour method' almost certainly already own Kev's books...  :?

Still - very beautiful work. I could look at the pictures all day :)

Kev's guide to painting The Servants of Ra has gone up on his magazine as well.

PS Kev has got the first four Scotland Yard Adventuring Company figures to photograph and paint, and the Master Criminal reward figure.
