New Stuff from Copplestone
« Reply #15 on: 09 October 2007, 12:37:19 PM »
The site works just fine for me in Safari on my Mac...

Well, after adding more wood to the fire... I think those new mounted bandits are going to finally push me into buying some of these great sculpts for this period.

Does anyone know of any good books about the BoB period that we're gaming? I have one by Peter Hopkirk, and I know he has at least one other. But does anyone know of any other authors or websites with further reading? Or resources for photos from the period?

Thanks!
Greg

Hi GregX999

The following link got me started off

http://www.wargames.co.uk/Pending/Archive/Aug03/backofbeyondcampaign.htm

There is a bibliography (I think thats how you spell it) at the bottom.

If you review the threads in this forum there will be loads of other links.

I've also found that being on Mark Copplestones mailing list also gives some noice links for background info.

Cheers and good luck

From the Copplestone Castings mailing list, the Tibetan Matchlockmen :

What a strange weapon, but :

10 assorted variants with separate musket rests (the odd-looking prongs attached to their muskets).
