My Cheap XenoBug Walkers

I was pleased at the low price of my first 28mm minis, although at the time I didn't realize the usual premium for the scale. Since my marines need bugs to fight, I began a search for bargains in the toy aisle...a better match for my "no assembly required" skill level. I spotted a line of clearance "battle monster" figs called NANOVORS, and could see the potential of the Tank Walker. Once rid of its pokemon-esque coloration (only primed black so far in pic), it falls somewhere between SST arachnids and Hayao Miyazaki's Ohmu.

Cost of each, about $3.25! I would like to know what everybody would choose to have them fight along side. I'm considering Khurasan's Vespulids or Space Demons, just to have a monster with an insect-like carapace. I'd prefer a manufacturer in the US, since I'm in a land-locked state.
