Corporate Security Drones
« on: 18 July 2011, 01:34:35 PM »
Heymans & Yamada security forces on Novaya Sakha rely heavily on drones to support their regular details. Small hover drones provide an extra few pairs of sensors in the urban environment. Armed spider drones provide some extra firepower, as well as being able to stand sentry.

Yea, most is on the underside so it doesn't shown however there were many lines running across the legs especially on the round bits on there on all 6 I bought, they cleaned up OK but it took a LOT of time per leg, let alone per drone.

Suppose if the legs are a one piece casting then they'd be tricky to cast anyhow. Casting them individually would get a cleaner cast but then there'd be all the assembly.. swings and roundabouts. I only got three of the spider drones anyhow ;) Bought 18 of the anti-grav drones and a pack of the small mech from the germy's 6mm range (look cool). Might get the bi-ped robots from critical mass and then lots of these could finish the force off nicely..

My grav drones were rather good castings. My gunsleds / assault sleds (also GZG) were less good as were a friends high-tech grav sleds.
They had parting lines on some very unfortunate locations. Then again, they're not the only ones suffering from that problem : 2 other friends had bought their stuff at Kharasan and found their vehicles needed much work too.  :(

Casting lines were quite minor on mine - at least given the shape of the legs on the inside (I could easily convince myself not to do much about them since no one will see that part of the model!)

Donogh, saw those on your blog.... :-*

Very nicely done indeed.
Television is rather a frightening business. But I get all the relaxation I want from my collection of model soldiers. P. Cushing
