Citi-Def Troopers Using Mongoose Plastics.

I just put up a quick blog post about the Citi-Def troopers that I painted up using Mongoose's Gangs of Mega City 1 miniatures. I thought that these minis were going to be far more useful than I found them to be but they were a bit of fun nonetheless.

Cool.  They aren't great figures, but I think you got the best out of them.

Yes for figures that are perhaps not top notch (or not to my tastes anyway) you have added a lot of character to them, and a good paint job can always make a not so dramatic mini look pretty cool. So nice one, good retro feel to them!!

Thanks for the kudos. I really want to do some Block Wars style games with the new Judge Dredd rules but finding enough trooper minis is a problem.

Maybe I'll just sculpt my own.

Sweetness. I've been sitting on quite a few of those plastic figs for years, and even tried putting them together... no sir, didn't like 'em. You've inspired me to get them back out and make some Citi-def. Really awesome job.

I've been wanting to do some huge block wars too. I've had to console myself with the Block Mania board game

I am not into Judge Dredd gaming, but I have always thought that these figures have a lot of potential. I have used dozens of them in various kitbashes to make gangers, mercs, specforce troops, civilians, ships crews, and various character figures.  They are usually not mucht to look at when assembled as intended, but the above paintjob really brings out the fun factor these figures offer!
