New Citi Def Troopers from Mongoose.
« on: 07 August 2011, 11:25:09 PM »
I just picked these up at Gen Con 2011 and I'm very impressed. I can't wait to get them painted.

A couple more pics on my blog:

Oh man I wish I knew those would be at GenCon. I had a friend there buying something for me, with money to spare...

The helmet on the first one is frikken perfect.

They look like some nice sculpts.  They ought to paint up well.

Yes, it is for their Judge Dredd Miniatures Game - very similar to GoMC1, but with d10, and the possibility of playing The Law as a faction.

They look infinitely better than the old plastic ones...they would make good generic space troopers as well.

Did they make plastic CitiDef models back then? I have nearly all models from the GoMC1 line, bought when they announced the cancelling of the game, but the only plastic models I have are the gangers from the boxed game (not assembled yet, mind you  ::)).

There were two helmeted heads with the GoMC1 Street Gang so you could make Citi Def troopers.

The scale on the older plastics is very big and gawky compared to the newer ones.

Only one pose with a regular weapon?  That seems a shame, were these the extent of the release?  I don't mean to sound ungrateful to finally have some City Defense, but 2 out of 4 with support weapons and one out of four with binoculars?  Seems ... unusual?

I'm sure that they'll release regular CD troopers with standard weapons. This set is of two heavy weapons troopers and their loaders. Both loaders have spit guns. The one holding binoculars has his slung to the side.
