Those new pics are great! What a simple but effective idea!

I feel some intellectual copyright theft coming on!  lol

I am glad everyone have enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for the comments.
Gun Bunny, the big piece in the middle of the table is an aquarium piece I purchased at Petco for about $30.00. I like it a lot. I may add some stairs around the base.
The game was a play test to see how the scenario played out. So did not quite have everything done and on the table.
Argonor, the flex-stone is made by 2 companies. Valspar Stone is the name, purchased at Michael's craft store, but they seem to have stopped carrying it. But they have replaced it with Krylon Make It Stone. As for the seams, I was trying to make it look they were larger man-made structures that had eroded in time. Does it look like it? What do you think?
Colonel Tubby, please, steal away. That is one of the things I love about this Forum, everyone's ideas out there inspire others in their gaming. Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks - I'll see if I can find something like it 'round here.  :)

As for the corroded look: It could pass as such, especially the smaller ones - I would probably add a little stonework and stonework rubble to accentuate it, because, as they are, they some how give the impression of 'natural' sandstone  - but as said, the terrain is really nice, and most rocks/hills made by layered foam usually sport some of these joins, as they are REALLY hard to get rid of.
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

Here are some pics of the underground parts of the tombs. A total of 8 general walled ones, plus the burial room. Each "room" is one foot square.

Two of the eight "rooms."

Four "rooms" put together.

Picture to show height of the walls.

A couple of photos of the burial room.

Hope you enjoy the photos. It has been a learning experience.
My daugther showed me how reduce the picture resolution on my camera, so hopefully will post more photos per page.

Cool use of the good old 'tiles with doors/roads/waterways that match up' principle. I actually may have to make some catacombs like this... somewhen...  ::)

If it's a burial chamber, shouldn't the Pharaoh be IN his sarcophagus?  o_o  ;)

efredbar, Glad you like what you saw. It was a lot of work. About 2 to 3 months on the terrain. Funny thing is I have purchased a number of other pieces. Now I don't know if I will ever finish them all. I tend to be one of those gamers who's motto is "That good enough, lets play."

argonor, How could I miss the sarcophagus.   :'(  I have 2, one opened and another not. Both by PMC games. Maybe I need to post more photos. But I am sure that everyone is tired of them.  :o

Love the tombs!

Can you remember where the wall art came from?

Hi Colonel Tubby,
The wall art is from a book called "Make This Egyptian Temple"
USBORNE CUT-OUT MODELS
ISBN 0-7460-0461-3
I purchased it from  Amazon.com for about $10.00.
Glad you enjoyed the photos.

Also try googling for pics of egyptian wall art; I remember having found several useful pictures some years ago - although that book sounds like a bargain.  :)

I'll probably have to search the internet as the Osbourne book seems to be out of print and hideously expensive on Amazon marketplace!
