Its one of my rules of Wargaming - 20th Century = 20mm
The amount of back up from plastic kits & railway stuff makes it the scale of the modern age. The rest of my stuff is in 25mm although over time old 25s & new 20s are the same size!
I used to game in 1/300/20mm/25mm & 54mm (also WW2 ships in a very small scale) One day I realised that having Old West loco's in all 4 scales was stupid, so I sold all the smaller & larger figures. Now the vast majority of my terrain will fit 20 or 25 mm

No problem. I'm coming more and more to an opinion that 20mm is the best scale in terms of versatility and scale, however outside of WWII and moderns it's quite limited what you can find, in comparison to 25/28mm.
