lovely moors, that's what i was looking for...

now i'll make some tests, i wanna make something like that.


but you have to considered some backs for the 15mm: the minis are really small and light, so they cannot stand on grass, unless it is really short and flat... :-\

Beautiful Moors there Thants, wish I lived in an area like that. Would you believe, my girlfriend has NEVER been to the north?!
Or are you Cornish (shudder)? 

Yeah, although the moors in the pic look yorkshire to me - didn't have a good pic of the ones back home in good ole Lancashire! Tell your girlfriend to sort her life out!  Jump in - the pie, peas, mild, whippets and other northerly stereotypes are lovely!  As for the Cornish - lovely bunch of folk and a marvellous county - wish it wasn't seven hours down the motorway... 

Sorry for the little hijack  (and spelling mistake!) Sangennaru - glad the pic was of use - looking forward to seeing the results of your experiments. I 'spose one way round the grass problem for your 15mm bases is to make the grass areas with a shorter static grass  - do they make it in the same shade? - and have the rocky outcrops and heather dotted around - bit of a compromise between making your hills look very naturalistic and them being easy to play on.
