Has anyone used these for VSF gaming? If so, what were your thoughts, alterations, treatment of steam tech etc  :)

cheers

I haven't heard of anyone doing this - largely as you remove casualties with a dustpan and brush  :D

I used to use the rules for colonial and later VSF gaming. I used an adapted version of 40k written by Jervis Johnson  (I think) for colonial games, then added various bits to it.

I seem to recall the tank rules work rather well for steam tanks as they are...

Anyway, attached are the modifications I used. There appear to be a couple of army lists there too, I assume I added these for a game. I don't have WHGW to hand, and these are rather old, so I can't really comment on them. As noted above, quite a lot of credit goes to the colonial adaptation of 40k (which I used to have somewhere, maybe you could find it online?).
I told you so. You damned fools.

I've used these for both WW1 and modified(simplyfied actually) for WW2.
I can see them used for later VSF pretty easily.

I've been thinking of trying "The Great War" for VSF.

I know people have used it for A Very British Civil War, which to all intents and purposes is VSF in khaki and flat caps.
