'Plaky', now there's a term I haven't heard in a while  :D

They look very nice indeed  :-*

There's plenty of movement which in some roman units you don't see.

cheers

James

Superb looking unit Red.  How you ever summed up the momentum to even start let alone stick with a project of these I will never know but the results were worthwhile to say the least.

I raise you all a "plaggy" :D

They have come out really well, considering the pretty shoddy figures that you started with. Great job.

But I was under the impression that it was spelt "placcy" ???

Not my favourite minis, but what a fine paintjob you've done!  Especially good on the faces.

Cheers, SImon

Excellent painting there. and the unit looks great as a whole.

"Plaggy bag", certainly (Midlands, 30-40 years ago), but often the hard-c sound too.

But how to spell it?  "Plaky" falls foul of the general guideline that a single consonant is preceded by a long vowel, so it risks being pronounced "playk-ey".  "Placcy" calls to mind the Italianate "cc" sound pronounced as a soft "ch".  Can we compromise on "plakky", perhaps?
Back from the dead, almost.

I've no idea how it is spelt but it's definitely the hard version  :)
