I really do want to do some written reports but my scenery construction and painting is sadly lagging behind my figure painting. I have started the first board which is the dock area at Alexandria where our intrepid heroes come ashore. The orange Ovaltine truck is now the weathered truck in my first photo. The idea here is for the expedition to hire, vehicles local guides etc. and to amass some stores for the journey. I suspect there may be some of the 'ungodly' lurking about the dockside as well!

I got a bit bored doing all that stonework at Alexandria and started work on the board where the party will discover the entrance to the underground part of Hamunaptra. Hopefully there will be a tomb section underneath which will probably be the climax of the expedition. I want to get some Hirst Arts egyptian moulds to do the tomb but I can't afford them at present. This board is the oasis and at the far end is the half-excavated entrance to Hamunaptra and maybe the legendary and fabled tomb of the Pharoah Kih-Oskh!
Still quite a bit of work to do on the sand and I've got to put some water in the oasis yet.

The boards both look great, but I'm particularly fond on the Alexandria board.

I've got some more vehicles on the way for a photo session soon.

I just wanted to ask generally, would the 'Chaos in Cairo' rules be better for this type of game? I'm intending to have some Mummys and Skeletons later in the expedition. At the moment I have .45 Adventure.

If you do not already have it "Pulp Egypt" is a very useful sourcebook.

Some other members of the Hamunaptra Expedition have turned up late for the official expedition photograph at Giza. Apparently they have been up all night drinking in the Cairo Hilton, don't you know and have missed the Doctor and the Professor.

They have managed to pinch a car for the expedition from the nearby army barracks (and also to transport their 1921 Dom Perignon).

'Barmy' Fotheringay-Phipps has opened a bottle of champers already to keep the party spirit going. Lady Stephanie Flickington-Beane (known to her friends as 'Stiffy') has a rather atrocious taste in tweed (or rather an atrocious attempt to paint tweed as I couldn't get it right)! 'Stiffy' has something of a penchant for sensible shoes as well.

'Oofy' Prosser and Honoria Glossop have failed to observe Gunner Asch lurking in the background, trying to overhear their plans. All he can hear, no doubt, is a lot of "Chin, chin, pip pip and a smattering of what ho, old bean"!

I would say that you are well on the way to some great games.
Look forward to reading and seeing the photos of them.
